About Gene

For 25 years Gene has pursued his passion for lighting. His company Lenahan Lighting Design, Inc. has designed for theatre, opera and dance, then venturing into corporate, special event and entertainment design, which now encompasses a large portion of his portfolio.

Gene was the Senior Lighting Designer for Caribiner Inc. which offered him many opportunities to light extravagant multi-media productions, special events and a roster of musical artists, such as Alicia Keys. With the advancement of LED technology, Gene has become engaged in media/environmental design, at times assuming the role of production designer.

His venues have been diverse ranging from Carnegie Hall to the Pasadena Playhouse, the MGM Grand Arena, to the British Telecom Tower, in London, as well as the 12th century Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Northampton UK.

Gene and his wife Leslie now make their home in Carlsbad, California
